Subject: Revised Eligibility Criteria for Admission to BCA Programme
This is to inform that as per the approval of the 73rd Academic Council, item no. 73.09 and through the letter no. ए०के०टी००/ यूपीटीएसी-2025/2359, dated 22-05-2025, the requirement of Mathematics at the 10+2 level for admission to the Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) program has been relaxed.
Now, the students who have passed 10+2 in any stream are eligible for admission to BCA. The first-year curriculum will include an Elementary Mathematics Bridge Course to support students without a Mathematics background.
This change is to be implemented with immediate effect and also the same is available in Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC) Information Brochure (2025-26 at page no. 4).
