Subject: Invitation to Avail CSTUP Grant for Organizing IPR Awareness Programmes and Establishing IPR Cells

Dear Madam/Sir

Greetings from the Innovation Hub, AKTU!
We are pleased to inform you that the Council of Science & Technology, Uttar Pradesh (CSTUP) is inviting proposals from Technical and Scientific Institutions across the state for organizing Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Awareness Programmes and for the establishment of IPR Cells.

This initiative is aimed at promoting innovation, patent filings, and awareness about IPR protection among faculty members and students. The maximum grant for organizing an IPR workshop or establishing an IPR Cell is 1.00 lakh.

The workshop should include a minimum of five lectures with at least 150-200 participants, covering different aspects of IPR.

Institutions are encouraged to apply for:

• Grant-in-aid for IPR workshops involving lectures, resource persons, and awareness activities.
• Grants for IPR Cell setup, which may be used for developing infrastructure and purchasing consumables.

The proposal must be submitted online via the CSTUP portal www.cst.up.gov.in by 30th April 2025. The sanctioned grants will be available for use during the financial year 2025-2026.

In alignment with the Innovation Hub’s vision to foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and support for IP filing as part of the UP Startup Policy 2020, we urge your esteemed institution to actively participate in this opportunity.

Establishing an IPR Cell will contribute to building an ecosystem that encourages innovation, protects intellectual assets, and aligns with national goals in research and development.

We request you to circulate this information among the relevant departments and faculty members, and ensure timely submission of proposals.
