A total of 3991 vacancies are open across two cadres — 596 posts under the Kalyana Karnataka (Article 371(J) area) cadre and 3395 posts under the Mikkili (Okkalida) cadre. Selection Process
KSP Constable 2026 selection consists of four stages:
- Stage 1 — Written Examination (Offline-OMR): 100 questions / 100 marks / 90 minutes. Minimum qualifying marks: 30 marks. Negative marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer.
- Stage 2 — Physical Standard Test (PST) & Endurance Test (ET): Qualifying in nature only. Candidates shortlisted at 1:5 ratio per vacancy.
- Stage 3 — Medical Examination: Only medically fit candidates are eligible for final appointment.
- Stage 4 — Final Selection: Shortlisted at 1:2 ratio per vacancy based on written exam merit.
